Falcon32 Version 7.5w is Now Available! from
Phoenix Software.
Phoenix Software International is pleased to announce the release of Falcon32 Version 7.5w. Listed below are some of Falcon32's new features and enhancements.
1. Certification for Windows 2003 and terminal server running under Windows 2003.
2. Imaging Add-on Enhancements:
- Scroller and Mover dialog - The IS data entry command displays the Scroller and Mover dialog. The Scroller and Mover dialog allows mouse-less manipulation of the Key Scan dialog, including scrolling, zooming, moving, and resizing.
- Open Multiple Image Files dialog - The Open Multiple Image Files dialog allows you to create a list of images (single or multipage) that will be used sequentially or as a set of virtual documents during data entry. You can switch between the Open an Image File dialog and Open Multiple Image File dialog using the Alternate Open button. Falcon32 remembers which image open dialog you last used. New data entry commands allow you to page through image files or virtual documents.
- Rubberbanding - Falcon32 now allows rubberbanding (drawing temporary character recognition zones) on images to allow the capture of large amounts of arbitrary information from images. The Rubberband Configuration dialog allows you to configure rubberbanding behavior. The Recognition Review dialog, displayed after recognizing rubberbanding data, indicates questionable data and allows you to correct it.
3. The Falcon32 About Box now displays operating system information.
The new Falcon32 release (including the documentation) is now available for download. Falcon32 customers can use their existing User-Id and password to download release 7.5w. New customers will need to obtain a user ID and password from Spectrum Software Support via email to support@spectrum-software.com.au.

(E)JES® Version 4,
Release 4.0 Now Available from
Phoenix Software.
Introducing Universal JES Management
(E)JES V4R4.0 is now generally available. With this release, (E)JES is now a JES-neutral product! Most of the JES3-oriented displays from (E)JES version 3 now have JES2 counterparts and some new JES2-specific displays were introduced. This release addresses numerous user requirements received over the past 14 years, especially from large installations with mixed environments.
(E)JES customers with both JES2 and JES3 will benefit from a single, unified and standardized interface with a common look and feel. Now all users in the enterprise can leverage advantages, including:
- Advanced user interfaces for basic capabilities such as search, scroll, filter, sort, extract, etc.
- Job and output post processors like e-mail, ftp, TSO/E transmit, etc.
- Multiple on-line execution environments.
- Robust batch scripting.
- Multi-layered, value-based security.
- Efficient multisystem data gathering.
Other enhancements, such as improved sorting heuristics, automatic code page sensing, a system command history, and support for extremely large JES3 job queues round out this first (E)JES Version 4 release.
(E)JES V4R1.0 is available through electronic delivery. See the (E)JES product web page for details about (E)JES and a link to instructions for downloading the new release.
The introduction of (E)JES V4R1.0 also marks the beginning of the "countdown" toward functional stabilization for (E)JES V3R5.0. For current (E)JES release status and operating system support information, refer to the (E)JES product web page.
